The GoldenEye Cocktail

What does James Bond drink in the Caribbean? It's gotta be the Goldeneye rum cocktail from Jamaica!

The GoldenEye Cocktail comes to us from Oracabessa, Jamaica. It will bring the fresh feeling of the islands to your next party. And remember it’s better, as James Bond says, “shaken, not stirred”.

Ways to Make a GoldenEye Cocktail

A GoldenEye is a Jamaican cocktail recipe made with rum, pineapple juice, and lime juice. To prepare this drink, all ingredients should be shaken with ice then poured into a lowball glass and garnished with a pineapple wedge or a lime wheel.

There are not many variations going on in the recipe, save the brands of rum and garnish, with only a few outliers. For example, another GoldenEye recipe calls for 1 oz of Goldschlager Shapps on 1oz of Baileys and garnished with a peanut.

History of the GoldenEye Cocktail

When Ian Fleming would hang out with Noel Coward and Winston Churchill to have drinks and the concept of the Vesper Martini (shaken, not stirred) was created! The name GoldenEye is obviously related to the James Bond story GoldenEye and Fleming’s estate in Oracabessa, Jamaica named GoldenEye.
